FULL FASHION LOOK

Full Fashion Look is an open competition of stylists, which purpose is creation of the finished image on the basis of mix of fashion tendencies of current and (or) coming seasons.

 Nomination Full Fashion Look is held in order to popularize profession of stylist as the author of the concept of the male or female image, who is capable to coordinate all components of image according to fashion tendencies of a current or forthcoming season, and  to realize an image and to demonstrate it demonstrate it in interior and on stage.

Fundamentals

Competitor

Individual competitors or team leaders are offered to participate.

Experienced stylists as well as students can participate.

The competitor can be a hairdresser, make-up artist, stylist, image-maker, fashion designer, beauty salon head or any other professional of beauty and fashion industry.

Participants’ age is not limited.

Competitor alias image author is able to attract any specialists of fashion industry to solve the problem.

Competitor has the right to apply for any following category of participants:

1. Senior (professional)
2. Junior (Student of state and commercial schools)

Competitor has the right to present several images in both “Male image” and “Female image” tests. Every image is estimated separately.

Model

The image must take into account model’s texture, that is it should be developed according to his/her proportions, physiognomic and plastic specialties. Model plays the image. Model’s ability to demonstrate him/herself, defile, face, emotion are very important.  

Draw

Model should wear a number got in a draw and keep it till the end of defile. This number must match the desk number.

Workplace

Workplace consists of a desk (without mirror) and a chair.

Only final touch can be done at the workplace. Competitor will have 15 minutes to finish the details. Models proceed to workplaces with their competitors.

The model can strike any pose during judging.

Competitor is entitled to change a chair or desk to his one ones, if the idea of image requires it.  After the competition standard desk and chair should be replaced by the competitor.

Photograph

Finished image picture corresponding to cover of a fashion magazine must be presented on a desk.

The photograph is estimated separately, the level and quality of image concept presentation in interior are taken into account.

Technical requirements:

The picture must be color, of A4 format and full-length.

It is necessary to indicate a number got at registration on the picture.

Photographs will not be returned. Absence of photograph will be penalized.

Image explanation

The competitor must present a written explanation of image on a page of A4 format (attached to the picture). There should be declared creative source: fashion tendencies, idea, images (style icons, celebrities and actual fashion collections). It is necessary to indicate a number got at registration on the explanation.  The explanation is not estimated, but it’s absence is penalized.

Defile

During the defile a model demonstrates an image on the stage. The image must look interesting and harmonious not only when close and moveless, but also when away and on-the-move.  Defile is a possibility to demonstrate comfort and beauty of all the elements of image.

Jury

Jury consists of stylists, image-makers, hairdressers, make-up and fashion designers. A fashion photographer or  a journalist can be invited as well.

Image estimation criteria

Fashion.  The image must present a mix of fashion tendencies of current or coming seasons. This means competitors demonstrate fashion tendencies of autumn-winter season and a next spring-summer season in September, and in February they demonstrate spring-summer season and next autumn-winter season fashion tendencies. Competitors can demonstrate pret-a-porte and haute couture images.

Recognizability. Image’s history, character, correspondence to the certain style icons, celebrities should be readable

Completeness. All elements of image must be integrated: clothing, hairstyle, make up, manicure, accessories, model’s type; as well as their color, lines, shapes and textures.

Photograph. Competitor’s abilities to organize a photo session for a fashion magazine and idea’s realization in a picture are estimated.

Penalty points are charged according to technological and technical criteria.

Technological criteria: absence of make up, hairstyle, manicure, pedicure, accessories unconformity

Technical criteria: absence of photograph and written explanation.

It is not recommended to copy advertising campaigns images, fashion collection images, to create fantasy or too theatrical works which not correspond to the actual haute couture collections.

It is allowed to use head covers, hairpieces, and artificial hair.
