Fantasy COMPETITIONS

Ladies hairdressers

Fantasy style is not an expression of today’s fashion. It is based on the fantastic images of the past and perspectives for the future. Fantasy style has no strict boundaries and clear recommendations. It's always a wide field for the participant’s  ​​fantasy, plus the elements of any style and their daring combinations. Fancy hairstyles mean diversity, decorativeness, unusual shapes, details and colors.

*Important notes:

All tests of Fantasy competition shouldn't be executed on the basis of regulations of technical, fashion and artistic competitions. Only some elements of hairstyles of these nominations can be used if it doesn’t contradict the regulations of fantasy (for example, historical) tests.

Fantasy and creativeness are welcome.

The models are not allowed to help the competitors with the hairstyle (i.e. hair drying, touching the hair, etc.).

The competitors can use 1 or different models for fantasy tests.

Competitors can participate in one or two tests of the biathlon.

During the judging period the models sit down in front of their mirrors.

Models younger than 14 years are forbidden.

Infringements to competition rules and non-observation of instructions concerning the competitions will be penalized by the jury.

Test 1

   «BRIDAL BRAIDING»

Participants shall create a bridal hairstyle out of model’s hair by braiding methods . Braiding shall cover not less than 50 % of hairstyle.

The models proceed to the competition floor with dry combed flat back hair. The wise men check whether this rule is observed.

Hair Length. Hair Length is free.

Hair color is free.

Hairpieces. Any ornaments made of  hair , fiber or similar materials are forbidden.

Accessories should correspond to the hair style chosen and be proportional

Tools. All setting tools are allowed.

Products.  All setting products are allowed. Colored sprays are forbidden

Clothing, make up and accessories should correspond to the modern image of bride.

Penalties are charged for non-observance of the given requirements

Criteria: shape, originality of design, clearness of hairstyle fulfillment.

Competition Time: 60 minutes.

Test 2. Bridal hairstyle on short hair.

Participants shall create a bridal hairstyle on short hair.

Models come to the competition floor with beforehand worked out and dry hair, with curlers and etc. if necessary. Before the start it is allowed to remove the curlers.  Before the start hair must be combed flat back.   The wise men check whether this requirement is observed.

Hair length: Not more than 20 cm.

Color: any

Hairpieces. Hairpieces and ornaments are forbidden.

Accessories should correspond to the hair style chosen and be proportional.

Tools. All setting tools are allowed except for dryer.

Products.  All setting products are allowed except for colored sprays.

Clothing, make up and accessories should keep the total bridal look.

Penalties are charged for non-observance of the given requirements

Criteria: shape, complexity, design (harmony of textures and color)

Competition Time: 30 minutes.

Fantasy biathlon

Ladies hairdressers

Test 1. Hairpieces. Theme: «Straw hat»

Models come to the competition floor with finished hairstyle.  Only “final touch” is to be done on the podium. There are only participant and the model on the stage during the competition time.

Hair length. Any.

Hairpieces. Hairpiecesmust be harmoniously integrated into finished hairstyle and cover no more than 50% of the surface of the head. Full wigs are forbidden.

Hair and hairpiece color. All colors including neon are allowed.

Clothing, make up and accessories should keep the total look.

Penalties are charged for non-observance of the given requirements

Criteria: complexity of the hairpiece, clearness of the work fulfillment, total look.

Competition Time : 5 minutes.

Test 2. Fantasy hairstyle. Theme: «Aelita»

Participants create an extraterrestrial female image.

Models come to the competition floor with worked out and dry hair, with curlers and etc. if necessary. Before the start it is allowed to remove the curlers.  Before the start hair must be combed flat back.   The Wise Men check if this rule is observed.

Hair Length. Hair Length is free.

Color. Any.

Hairpieces. Any false hair or extensions are forbidden

Ornaments should correspond to the hair style chosen and not cover more than 20% of the hairstyle.

Tools. All setting tools are allowed.

Products.  All setting products are allowed.

Clothing, make up and accessories should keep the total look and not be provoking. 

Penalties are charged for non-observance of the given requirements.

Criteria: shape, originality, total look.

Competition Time - 40 minutes
