GENTS HAIRDRESSERS COMBINATION TESTS
TECHNICAL CATEGORY
2 TESTS
Important notes: The
participants create the hairstyle on the competition mannequin heads in
this test.
The first and second works are to be made on one or two
mannequins. During the judging period the mannequin head should be fixed
facing the mirror.
Infringements to competition rules and non-observation of
instructions concerning the competitions will be penalized by the jury. Every
member of the jury shall be entitled to give from 5 (five) up to 15 (fifteen)
penalty points in every test. The competitors will be informed of their penalty
points via the results list.
Disqualification:
Competitors changing assigned mannequin heads
or mirror numbers with other competitors.
Test 1. Elegant (structured) classical hairstyle
Participants execute a technical, elegant hairstyle with
structure elements.
The mannequin head should have wet combed flat back hair. The
Wise Men check if this rule is observed.
The hair length on
the perimeter hair growth line and neck must be at least 2 cm, hair length at the parietal area
is free. The Wise Men check if this requirement is observed, in case of
violation penalty points are given.
Cut.
Cutting is forbidden.
Hair Color. A harmonious graduation of color corresponding to the fashion
tendencies is compulsory. Blue, green, pink, lilac (fuchsia)
colors are forbidden.
Tools. All setting tools are allowed.
Products.
All setting products and fixing products are allowed. Colored
sprays are forbidden.
Clothing. Collar zone is to
be covered as the imitation of suit. The mannequin heads must not be dressed or
decorated lower than the bust.
Criteria:

Working technique (Cleanliness, lines
design);

Color (harmony of structures and
color).
Competition Time:
seniors – 25 minutes; students, juniors – 30 minutes
The participants are given 3 minutes for the mannequins
dressing up.
Test 2. Classic Cut & Style
The competitor will create a classic cut and style in free
technique.
The mannequin head should have wet combed flat back hair before the start. The
Wise Men check whether this instruction is observed.
The hair length on
the perimeter hair growth line and neck must be at least 2 cm, hair length at the parietal zone
is free. The Wise Men check if this requirement is observed, in case of
violation penalty points are given.
Cut. Execution of
hair contracture in the nape area from 2 mm with observance of general
silhouette and hairstyle shape balance is obligatory. Correcting pencils is
forbidden.
Hair Color. A harmonious single color.
Cutting Tools. Thinning
shears, thinning razors and clippers are forbidden.
Products.
All fixing products are allowed. Colored
sprays are forbidden.
Clothing. Collar zone is to
be covered as the imitation of suit. The mannequin heads must not be dressed or
decorated lower than the bust.
Criteria:

- clearness.
Competition Time:
seniors – 40 minutes; students, juniors – 45
minutes
The participants are given 3 minutes for the mannequins
dressing up.
GENTS CLASSICS. COMBINATION TESTS
FASHION CATEGORY. 2 TESTS
Important notes: The
models are not allowed to help the competitors with the hairstyle (i.e. hair
drying, touching the hair, etc.). During the judging period the models sit down
in front of their mirrors.
Non-observance of the competition schedule or infringements
of instructions concerning the competitions will be penalized by the jury. Every
member of the jury shall be entitled to give from 5 (five) up to 15 (fifteen)

points via the results list.

Test 1
Trend Dynamic Style on Long Hair
Participants shall create a fashionable dynamic hair-do on
long hair designed for regular consumer and suitable for city streets. Too
artistic, fantasy or vaunt guard hairstyles does result in penalty points. Hair
coloring is an additional aspect of work. It has to be pre-done and emphasize a
hairstyle silhouette. Models proceed to the competition floor with wet combed
flat back hair. The Wise Men check if this rule is observed.
Hair Length. Before the start the hair length at the parietal area must be
at least 7 cm, the rest – at the participants’ discretion (but not less than
5 cm).
Cut. Cutting is
forbidden.
Hair Color. A harmonious graduation of color shades is compulsory. The
balance of extreme or neon colors should be lowered to a minimum percent (5 %).
Colored sprays are forbidden.
Tools. All setting tools are
allowed.
Products. All setting and
fixing products are allowed.
Clothing. Clothing must be
current.
Criteria:

Competition Time:
seniors - 20 minutes; students, juniors – 25 minutes.
Test 2. Trend cut and style on the same model
The participants create haircut and setting corresponding to
the regular customer. The finished hairstyle must be like those a customer shall
wear outside and must have a maskuline look.
Models proceed to the competition floor with wet, combed flat
back hair. The Wise Men check if this rule is observed.
Hair Length. Before the start the hair length at the parietal area must be
at least 7 cm, the rest – at the participants’ discretion (but not
less than 5 cm).
Hair Color. A harmonious graduation of color shades is compulsory. The

The final model's haircut length must differ from the length
in the test 1. The finished work shall have 2 cm length of the exterior contour
(except for the bang).
