It is a known fact that NEVSKIE BEREGA is
one of the most prestigious and
brightest events in the field of the beauty industry. This year the Beauty Expo has not only overcome
all expectations, but also has broken its own records. Despite February
frosts and blizzards, the amount of visitors has increased almost in one and a
half time, more than 25 thousand people visited the exhibition daily. The number
of visitors from different cities of Russia and other countries has become
greater, and participants of the International Olympic competitions on
hairdressing, nail design and decorative cosmetics have once
again shown amazing results.
A separate exhibition area Garden City was a venue of our new
project, The First Saint Petersburg Cosmetology and Esthetic Medicine Congress.
This is a brand new event, which occurrence has been dictated by the necessity
of creating a global congress of cosmeticians for pressing questions discussing.
The congress and exhibition for cosmeticians have caused huge interest of
experts from different regions of Russia, this fact allows to
make further plans on development of this project. The congress was supported
by the St Petersburg Academic and Research Society of doctors of
cosmetology led by the doctor of medical sciences, professor
Tatiana Korolkova (the main expert in cosmetology of Public
Health Services Committee of the St.-Petersburg Government , member of EADV and
AAD).
International Beauty Expo was accommodated on three levels of
St-Petersburg Sport and
Concert Complex (SCC). More than 350 companies,
representing most leading brands of cosmetology, nail design, hair-styling, and
presenting their most up-to-date developments, took part in the event.
Equipment, tools, professional lines, accessories – the
exhibition subjects are so wide and various that it was difficult for experts to
resist a temptation to be there during all five days of the event.
The exhibition was reach with events for professionals,
hundreds master classes were spent at the stands by the famous international
class stylists. A number of master classes of «Sassoon
Academy» was a really spectacular show .
George Kot – the virtuoso of stage and
evening hairstyles, two-time World champion, top stylist of "Keune" company
bewitched public with the unusual hairstyles which he created on absolutely
unprepared models from the audience. Alexander Gladyshenko, Champion of Russia
and Ukraine on hairdressing, the judge of the international competitions, has
spent a series of master classes within the limits of the new collection
"Hieroglyph", changing models and creating surprising forms and structures. Alex
Kelber, .the director of teaching department of company "Moser"
has presented the latest male and female images.
Within the limits of the exhibition the VIII International
competition on cosmetology and an aesthetics has taken place supported by
CIDESCO and Training Center "Nera". Competition is created for the experts who
work in beauty salons, health and fitness centers, SPA centers. The
international competition on cosmetology and esthetics is an open project which
draws attention of mass media and wide audience.
In conference halls of St. Petersburg Sport and Concert
Сomlex and "Rossiya" hotels the private
events for experts of various areas have been carried out . The third National
Conference "RosBeautyConsulting" attracted experts to its programs:
«Day of Chief», «Day of Administrator», as well as to «Mini training for
Chiefs», where the latest Personnel management methods have been
presented.
School of nail technologies presented its program «Nail&Spa
Show» for nail designers.. Design principles in a make-up have been shown in
frameworks of "Day of the visagist», organised by Taisia
Vasilieva Make-up school. The exclusive workshop of the founder and the
international creative director of London academy "Mahogany" Richard Thomson and
its top stylists has been spent in a specially equipped hall.
Renzo Chinellato, the many times world Champion on
hairdressing, the master who is known to all world, has spent two entertainment
master classes for all who aspires to perfection of the techniques and tries to
reach the international level. The cosmetology forum in hotel "Russia" has
traditionally collected interested audience.
International Olympic Competition on Hairdressing, Nail
Design and Make-up has collected more than three
thousand participants from Russia and countries of Europe and Asia. The main
scene of St Petersburg SCC turned to a podium of the world industry of beauty
for five days. Specially developed system of refereeing considering the
slightest nuances in each nomination, and also star jury members have created
perfect conditions for fair competition of professionals. The
participants train for months, sometimes even for years, making every detail and
every move perfect. Tens of regional Championships delegated the best teams to
Olympic Competitions. The number of teams has reached 74 this time, among them
state educational institutions of Europe, commercial schools and
studios, salons of Russia, teams from 17 countries - the USA,
Japan, Korea, Germany, Israel, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus,
Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia.
Winners in various nominations were awarded
with diplomas, cups and medals, and the winners of Premiere League in different
nominations competed for medals from pure gold of 150 g weight.
On February, 23 within the limits
of the International Beauty Expo NEVSKIE BEREGA the reality
competition of visagists «The Best of World Podiums » took place for the second
time. «World Podiums» is a new standard in technology of
competitive programs, it is the last world tendencies
in make-up.
On February, 23rd spectators could watch show programs of
leading masters of the present time on the main scene. Among them: the grandiose
show devoted to the 25th anniversary of Natalia Kondrateva´s creative activity,
where the new collection and retrospective show has been presented. Leading
stylists of beauty salons chain "Arlekino" have presented show named “Gold”.
Georgy Kot, the top
stylist of company "Keune" has amazed spectators with the show "Royal
Courtyard". Visitors of Festival also became witnesses of stylistic show of Anna
Mihajlova "Returning" with ballet "Temptation", as well as the dramatized master
class «Japanese culture» which was presented by World champion Shichijo
Yasunori. Online live streaming broadcast in
Internet reflected the most important events of Festival: defile, competitive
works on a stage, presentations and master classes at exhibition stands, events
of the business program, and also interview of significant people of beautiful
business.
More than thirty five thousand people watched daily the
events of the International Beauty Expo, thank to on line broadcast.
The closing ceremony of Beauty Expo was held on February, 23,
the grandiose spectacular has come to the end. The next NEVSKIE
BEREGA Beauty Expo will take place on September, 9-12 2010, professionals from
different countries will arrive to Petersburg again to take part in unique event
of a world scale.
